Meet Our Founder

Kellie Mackenroth

A Southern Belle at heart with Louisiana roots, Kellie is a true Ragin’ Cajun who has called Fort Lauderdale her stomping ground since 2003. As destiny would have it, the Summer of 2007 delivered up a whirlwind romance in the sunshine state with a New Orleans native. Their romance quickly blossomed into marriage. After ten years of enjoying sand and surf, a greater love was bestowed upon them in 2018 when Kellie gave birth to their miracle baby girl!

Becoming a mother and experiencing first-hand the real challenge of not having family close, Kellie missed the true sense of community. This was a challenging and pivotal life-defining moment for her. Kellie quickly realized her next calling would be something that always came naturally to her, helping others in need…specifically Moms in her same situation. Kellie founded Fort Lauderdale Moms Blog out of the need to do just that…connect local moms to resources, empower them, and build a true community that resonates a positive voice for family and motherhood. She is passionate about lending her talents to cultivate that true community. She loves all things local, sunny and of course, has a big heart for South Florida Moms!

Kellie has a background in Business, Marketing, and New Business Development with a vocation in Yachting, High-Performance Boats, and Publishing. Kellie is a Certified Business Specialist, recently graduated from Broward College with a degree in Marketing Management. She also holds a degree in Accounting/Applied Technology and is Certified by the Executive Education Board at Florida Atlantic University in Marketing and Sales Management.
